Bethany Bechtel & Faith McCarthy are graduates of the Dragon Rises School of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, fully Licensed Acupuncture Physicians, Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl OM) and Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Both Bethany and Faith have lifetime experience in medicine and health care issues. With a strong background in both western science and oriental medicine, we are well suited to meet your health care needs.

Faith McCarthy, RN, AP trained as an Acupuncture Physician after a two-decade career as a registered nurse. Over the years she has worked in a variety of medical settings, including acute care and trauma, intensive care, and surgery. In addition to her degrees in Oriental Medicine and Nursing, she holds a Masters Degree in the history of medicine from the History Department of the University of Florida.

Bethany Bechtel, AP, PhD earned her doctoral degree in biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania, and has over twenty years experience in biomedical research. In addition to her training as an Acupuncture Physician, she offers her experience in yoga therapy and pranic healing. Bethany maintains ongoing collaborations with medical yoga researchers in India and in the United States.
